Came here for food before going to the aquarium and I'm glad we chose this spot. The food was cheap, but the size was too much to eat in one sitting, so you're really getting a bang for your buck. The restaurant was very clean including the restroom and the waitress was very kind. Next time I'm in town, I know the hidden gem of the town.

Great place! Great price! Service was amazing! We had a big group and they accommodated us right away! Everyone loved their dish! The red sauce on the wet burrito is very spicy! So if you don’t like spicy food, omit the sauce. I like spicy, but even this was too spicy for me. But it was still super delicious and very huge! The fish inside was the best part and there was a lot of fish! The decor was amazing! Their chips and salsa tastes so fresh! I would buy their salsa, it’s that good! We’ll definitely come back!

Really good Mexican food their tacos are so tasty. It's one of the best birria places in Monterey County. Next time, I'll try their michelada porque se miran muy buenos!

Spent the day in Monterey. Had lunch at La Bahia Mexican restaraunt. I ordered a birria taco and shrimp taco. It was really good. First of all I love shrimp, the flavor and the sauce it came with was delicious. The birria was just as good. It was tender and juicy, not dry. Joe ordered the wet burrito. He said it was very good as well. We ate inside, recieved free chips and salsa before our meal. I like the salsa, it had good flavor and not too spicy. I will definately stop by here for lunch the next time we are in Monterey.

If you’re staying down on cannery Row, do yourself a favor and walk up three or four blocks to this place. It is much cheaper. The food is much better and the service is amazing. All the flavors were authentic and everything was cooked. Perfect. The tortillas were homemade.

Delicious salsa sets the tone of any meal at a Mexican restaurant. Their salsa is super tasty! 👌 I'm pretty picky with my Mexican cuisine and La Bahia hit the bullseye! Shrimp tacos are unbelievable. Family owned and operated and really friendly service. This little place that's 2 blocks from my house will have a regular for life.
